This is not necessarily a motivational note but just a jumble of words and scenarios to briefly emphasize what we already know and leave us pondering. There are so many trends, patterns and twists to life; you just can’t figure it all out. Remember when you were in elementary school? When you had no care in the world other than just alphabets, swings, games, candies and cartoon …….Hmmmm what sweet memories. Then you had so many ambitions which were all childhood euphoria, dreams and innocent minds. Tick Tock; high school came knocking on your door. It wasn’t really what you expected because you were having a hard time with seniors bullying you, sending you on endless errands, punishing you for God know what. This list goes on and on till you eventually found yourself in the university and the rest you can fill in yourself.
Fresh out of the University! You were so ecstatic about the fact that you would start working and earning your own money. That feeling of independence and freedom was the greatest joy in your heart and you just couldn’t wait. Our needs and wants change and escalate as we grow. Just like the popular Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which explains the trend of needs from physiological to safety to social, esteem and then self-actualization.
It’s all human nature to always want more but things don’t always go the way you visualize it sometimes. You have this picture in your head and then it’s a different story when you get to that part in your life when you thought things will turn out in a certain way, follow a certain direction or course and have a particular pattern and then its otherwise.
It’s just all a rat race we will all run till the end and you know what? Its survival of the fittest; that’s just the way it is.
...hmmm... you don't want to be motivational but you ended doing just that... :-) So many foof for thoughts and you kept me reading too. Nice piece.
